OPAC: the Institute Library in the Regensburg Catalogue

The Regensburg catalogue lists the catalogue data of 10 Regensburg libraries which belong to the Bavarian Library Association (Bibliotheksverbund Bayern, BVB). The Institute for Southeast European Studies, together with the Institute for East European Studies, the Institute for East European Law and the Hungarian Institute, is responsible for the library in the Research Centre for East and South East Europe. The combined library containing around 350 000 bibliographical items is the second largest in the city and one of the most important covering the countries in eastern Europe. With just over 135 000 data entries, about one quarter of the complete collection can be researched electronically.

The libraries of 12 independent research institutes comprise the association, "Internationale Beziehungen und Länderkunde" (International Relations and Regional Geography) which together form a collective information network. The database of this association is one of the largest social studies literature databases in Europe and reflects the focus of the institutes.
